Video velocity quick start

  1. Tap Start Measuring on the Home tab and choose a training video.
  2. Trim the video to the working set, removing setup and idle footage.
  3. Calibrate a clear, high-contrast circular area on a weight plate.
  4. Let the device finish the analysis, then review reps, mean concentric velocity and bar path.
  5. Add the exercise and load, then save the set to History or use it in a load-velocity profile.
02

Film for stable tracking

  • Keep the phone fixed: use a tripod or stable surface and do not move it during the set.
  • Film from the side: keep vertical bar movement clear and avoid an extreme diagonal angle.
  • Keep the full movement in frame: use landscape video and leave room for the barbell at both ends of the range.
  • Choose a distinct plate: calibrate an unobstructed circular area with a clear edge and strong contrast.
  • Use steady light: avoid strong backlight, flicker and large occlusions.
03

1RM and powerlifting scores

Quick 1RM uses load and repetitions to provide a training estimate, keeping the direct workflow familiar to existing users. If the set stopped before failure, add the repetitions left for an estimate that better reflects the set.

Powerlifting Score provides DOTS, IPF GL, Wilks and Wilks 2020 for normalized comparison across body weight, sex and three-lift totals.

04

Load-velocity profile

Analyze the same lift at 2 to 3 different loads and enter the actual load for every set. Power fits your personal load-velocity relationship and estimates 1RM when data quality is sufficient.

Use the same technique at every load. If the data contains obvious noise, such as a heavier set moving much faster, Power may reject the profile instead of presenting an unreliable estimate.

05

Records and deletion

Video analysis records and calculator results you save remain on your device. You can delete individual data from its record details. Uninstalling Power removes local App records but does not remove videos already exported to Photos.

Common questions

Why can Power not detect the plate?
Choose a complete circular area with a clear edge, visible texture and no arm occlusion. If the plate is too small in the frame, record again with the equipment occupying more of the image.
Why is the repetition count wrong?
Confirm that the trim contains only the working set and that the tracked path stays continuous. Camera movement, occlusion or the plate leaving frame can interrupt rep segmentation.
Why was no load-velocity profile created?
A profile needs at least two different loads, with velocity generally decreasing as load increases. Check every entered load and keep technique consistent.
Does Power upload training videos?
No. Video decoding, tracking and velocity calculation happen on device. See the privacy policy for details.
